The lake is fed by various creeks and has a maximum depth of 23 feet. It is a popular spot for fishing, especially for stocked trout and bass. The surrounding area includes a public park with picnic areas, a playground, and a boat launch. In the winter, the lake freezes over and becomes a popular spot for ice fishing and skating.
